Class Descriptions

Vinyasa is a flowing class which matches breath to movement aiding students to be present. These classes may include pranayama, sun salutations, standing poses, as well as preparation for back bends and/or arm balances.

::Gentle Yoga::

Gentle Yoga is a slow paced class suitable for all levels. In this class shapes can be held anywhere from 1 minute to 10 minutes. You will focus on less then a dozen shapes per class to allow time and space to calm the mind and nervous system. In gentle yoga we create shapes and discover our edges. Using our breathe we turn our focus inward to allow the healing process to begin, whether it is physically, mentally or spiritually. Most shapes are created seated or lying down.

::Yoga for Athletes::

Calling all Team Players….Soccer, Tennis, Golf, Football, Body Building, Cycling, Mountain Climbing, Running, Group Exercise fanatics, and all others. This practice will use the basics of Yoga to enhance your physical performance, your mental discipline and balance to enhance your performance in ALL of the athletic endeavors that you pursue.

::Slow Flow, Balance and Alignment::

Excellent for learning to perfect balance, body alignment and breathing techniques taking the beginning Yogi to the next level. Not necessarily for the first timer.

::Level 1::

Level “1″ classes provide a foundation and illustrate the basic components of a Vinyasa practice. Classes can include movements linked with breath, moving from pose to pose with flowing transitions, forward folds, and weight-bearing poses on wrist and hands. Level “1” classes are valuable for all yogis. These classes provide the basics, while also giving the advanced yogis room to explore.

::Level 2::

Students attending level “2” classes will get the most from the practice if they are strong and confident throughout their sun salutations. Through level “2” classes yogis may explore back bends, deep twist, arm balances and inversions.

::All Level::

All level classes are just that, for ALL LEVELS. Whether you are just starting your yoga journey or a seasoned practitioner, show up ready to work hard and discover how much you can do today through breath and movement. In an all level class there will be modification offered as well as plenty of room for those leveling up to explore new shapes.
